This set of ten black and white wood and linoleum cut prints was shown in November, 2004, at the Fondo Del Sol Visual Arts Center, Washington, DC.
These images show artists and artisans pursuing their traditional arts as they have done for millenia, using clay, various fibers, leather, metal and other materials. By using the medium of relief cut printing, which requires a combination of artistic and craft skills, the artist hopes that her work echos the Maya spirit of creative self sufficiency and fine workmanship.
