Basketry (Jocotán) Using split cane as raw material, a young man finishes a basket. Baskets, large and small and of many types, are made throughout Guatemala.

Broom making (Jocotán) To make a broom, the maker binds together the strips of split palm fronds. Such brooms of natural materials are now often replaced with plastic ones.

Tile making (Rabinal) Ceramic roof tile artisan. This craft has a Spanish origin.
